Kia is extending the warranty coverage for the driver’s front airbag clock spring assembly to 15 years with unlimited mileage.
The airbag warning light should illuminate for 6 seconds when the engine is started. If it remains illuminated or never illuminates, contact a Kia dealer for a system diagnosis.
What to Do
Check the airbag warning light and contact a Kia dealer if it is not functioning properly.
Retain this letter in the glove compartment of your Kia vehicle.
If you have already paid to have this situation corrected, you may submit your receipts for reimbursement.
