Maintenance Minders

Engine Oil Life Display

The 2010 Honda Pilot features an engine oil life display that shows the remaining life of the engine oil based on the vehicle’s operating conditions. The display is shown as a percentage and is updated every time the engine is started.

Scheduled Maintenance Reminders

The maintenance minder indicator will come on when the remaining engine oil life is between 15-1% and will display a “SERVICE” message along with the maintenance item code(s) for the required maintenance service. If the maintenance is not performed, the negative distance traveled will be displayed, indicating the mileage at which the vehicle has exceeded the maintenance required point.

Resetting the Engine Oil Life Display

The engine oil life display can be reset by the dealer after completing the required maintenance service. If maintenance service is performed by someone other than the dealer, the maintenance minder can be reset by following the steps listed on page 459 of the manual.
