Introduction
The 2009 Jaguar XF Workshop Manual provides a comprehensive guide for professional mechanics and home enthusiasts.
Transmission and Driving Modes
The manual mode can be activated using the shift paddles on the steering wheel. The transmission will revert to automatic operation when a steady speed is maintained or when the shift-up paddle is held for one second.
Sport mode with dynamic mode drive control allows for full up-shifts and provides a high-performance driving experience.
Safety Features
The Dynamic Stability Control (DSC) system operates while the engine is running, unless manually switched off. It controls ABS, traction control, and yaw control to assist directional vehicle control during sliding situations.
Adaptive dynamics (for supercharged vehicles only) monitors the road and driver inputs and adjusts the suspension for better ride comfort and control.
