The Escape Hybrid has an EPA-estimated 34 mpg city and 31 hwy, making it a fuel-efficient option. It also uses regenerative braking to recharge the battery pack and capture kinetic energy.
Powertrain
The Escape has a 2.5L /4 engine and an available Duratec 3.0L V6 engine, which produces 240 hp and 20% more power than the previous model. It also features a new 6-speed automatic transmission.
Additional features include a capless fuel-filler system, which reduces fuel tank evaporative emissions, and a SYNC system that integrates with most Bluetooth-enabled phones and digital media players.
