Maintenance Schedule
The maintenance schedule for the 2007 4Runner includes regular checks and replacements at 5,000, 10,000, 15,000, 20,000, and 25,000 miles or 6, 12, 18, 24, and 30 months.
Regular maintenance items include:
- Replacing engine oil and oil filter
- Rotating tires
- Visually inspecting brake linings/drums and brake pads/discs
Additional maintenance items for special operating conditions include:
- Lubricating propeller shaft (4WD)
- Re-torquing propeller shaft bolt
- Tightening nuts and bolts on chassis
- Inspecting ball joints and dust covers
- Inspecting drive shaft boots (4WD)
- Inspecting engine air filter
- Inspecting steering linkage and boots
Applicable footnotes include resetting the oil replacement reminder “MAINT REQD” light after replacing engine oil, if the vehicle is equipped with this light.
