Important Notes
The fluid capacities and recommendations provided are for reference only and should be used in conjunction with the Repair Manual.
Use only oils meeting VW oil quality standards, and follow the recommended viscosity and capacity guidelines to prevent engine damage.
Cooling System
Use phosphate-free coolant G 012 A8F A4, and follow the recommended mixture ratio of 50:50. Frost protection is required down to -25°C (-13°F) and -35°C (-31°F) in arctic climates.
Power Steering
Use hydraulic oil G 002 000, and do not use ATF.
AIC Refrigerant Oil
Use PAG oil, Part No. G 052 154 A2 with R-134a wlSanden compressor.
