Summary of Service Bulletin
A safety recall has been issued for certain 2006-07 model year Ridgeline vehicles due to a defect in the HVAC blower motor wiring harness connector. The connector may be damaged if a front seat passenger accidentally kicks it, leading to overheating and potential fires.
Corrective action includes checking the blower motor 2P connector, coupler, and wires, and replacing the blower motor if necessary. A blower motor kit will be installed if the connector is damaged, and the vehicle will be inspected and repaired free of charge.
The recall affects vehicles with a notification letter, and owners are advised to check their vehicles’ eligibility by contacting an authorized Honda dealer. The bulletin also provides information for customers who have experienced problems with the service.
