Safety Recall Notice

This notice is sent to inform you of a defect in your 2001-2005 Chrysler PT Cruiser or 2005 Chrysler PT Cruiser Convertible vehicle.

The problem is that the power steering pressure hose may contact the transaxle differential cover, causing the hose to rub through and leak power steering fluid, which can result in an underhood fire.

What to Do

Contact your dealer to schedule a service appointment to inspect and reposition the power steering hose. Any damaged hoses will be replaced.

Bring this letter with you to your dealer and ensure your safety.
