Introduction
This bulletin provides information on the Torque Converter Break In feature and the update to ATF +4 transmission fluid for 2000 model year vehicles.
Models Affected
The affected models are 2000 (NS) Town & Country/Caravan/Voyager and 2000 (GS) Chrysler Voyager (International Market).
Changes and Updates
A running change was made to incorporate ATF +4 transmission fluid, and the Torque Converter Break In feature was implemented to eliminate early mileage shudder concerns.
The break in feature must be re-initialized if the Transmission Control Module (TCM) is replaced with less than 1500 torque converter break in miles, or the torque converter is replaced at any time.
ATF +4 can be used in vehicles built prior to the implementation dates by following the update procedure outlined in the bulletin.
