Safety Recall Information
This safety recall is for 2000-01 Honda Insights and 2001-02 Honda Civics. The recall is due to a terminal in the headlight wire harness that can overheat and cause the low-beam headlights to fail without warning.
The recall involves replacing the combination light switch and the REDIWHT wire in the headlight wire harness. The procedure includes disconnecting the 16P connector, removing the switch, and replacing the wire and connector.
Important Notes
Federal law requires that any vehicle lessor receiving this recall notice must forward a copy of this notice to the lessee within 10 days.
