Introduction
This manual documents the project of updating a 1/8 scale 1932 Alfa Romeo 8C 2300 Spider Touring model, originally built in the 1970s.
Background
The Alfa Romeo 8C 2300 Spider was manufactured between 1931 and 1934, with 188 cars produced. The model being updated was built from a Pocher kit, which contained over 1950 parts.
Goals and Challenges
The goal of the project is to update the model with more accurate details, including the radiator grille, body and fenders, spare wheel cover, exhaust pipe bracket, and chassis struts and rods. The project also involves researching and correcting inaccuracies in the original kit.
The project started in April 2021, and the author has been using online resources and model building forums to gather information and tips.
