Safety Considerations
Only trained, qualified installers and service mechanics should install, start-up, and service this equipment. Untrained personnel can perform basic maintenance functions such as cleaning coils. All other operations should be performed by trained service personnel.
Wear safety glasses and work gloves. Keep quenching cloth and fire extinguisher nearby when brazing.
System Requirements
Allow sufficient space for airflow and servicing the unit. See Fig. for minimum required distances between the unit and walls or ceilings.
Recommended connection method for power and communication wiring to minimize communication wiring interference.
Use Electrical Data table MCA (minimum circuit amps) and MOCP (maximum over current protection) to correctly size the wires and the disconnect fuse or breakers respectively.
Working Temperature Range
Indoor side: 64.9°F (18.3°C) to 90°F (32.2°C)
Outdoor side: -0.4°F (-18°C) to 114.8°F (46.8°C) for cooling only unit, and -22°F (-30°C) to 72.5°F (24°C) for heat pump unit.
