Use proper pan size and select cookware having flat bottoms large enough to cover the surface heating element.
Self-Cleaning Oven Safety Instructions
Follow these instructions for safe operation of the self-cleaning feature. Remove pans, shiny metal oven racks, and other utensils from the oven before operating the self-clean cycle.
Do not use self-clean to clean other parts, such as drip pans or bowls. Do not use oven cleaners or oven liner protective coating of any kind.
