This is an instruction manual for the Mitsubishi Servo Amplifier MR-J4, a general-purpose AC servo amplifier suitable for pressure control applications. On the first two pages, the manual provides important safety instructions and precautions for the safe use and installation of the servo amplifier.
Safety Precautions
Read and follow the safety instructions carefully before using the equipment. Note the WARNING and CAUTION symbols, which indicate potentially hazardous conditions that may result in death or injury.
Precautions for Installation and Operation
Before wiring, turn off the power and wait for 15 minutes or more to allow the charge lamp to turn off. Confirm that the voltage between P+ and N- is safe with a voltage tester. Ground the servo amplifier and servo motor securely, and do not attempt to wire the equipment until they have been installed.
Precautions for Maintenance and Inspection
Do not open the front cover of the servo amplifier during power-on or operation. The high-voltage terminals and charging area are exposed, and you may get an electric shock. Keep the connections of the power supply terminals insulated.
Install the servo amplifier, servo motor, and regenerative resistor on incombustible material to prevent fire. Connect a magnetic contactor and molded-case circuit breaker or fuse to each servo amplifier to configure a circuit that shuts off the power supply.
