Installation Requirements
This manual provides essential installation instructions for the Kenmore Top-Load Washer. Before starting, ensure you have removed all shipping materials and have the necessary tools and parts.
Important Safety Notes: Always read and obey all safety messages, and ensure the washer is installed on a level floor with a maximum slope of 1″ (25 mm) under the entire washer.
Drain System and Electrical Requirements
The drain system can be installed using a floor drain, wall standpipe, or laundry tub. Ensure a grounded electrical outlet is used, and the washer is plugged into a mating, 3-prong, grounding-type outlet.
Grounding Instructions: The washer must be grounded to reduce the risk of electrical shock. Ensure the plug is plugged into an appropriate outlet that is properly installed and grounded in accordance with local codes and ordinances.
