When using electrical appliances, basic safety precautions should always be followed.
Read all instructions, do not touch hot surfaces, and do not immerse cord, plug, or the coffeemaker in water or other liquids.
Preparing to Use Your Coffeemaker
The brew basket, permanent gold-tone filter, carafe, and carafe lid must be washed before first use.
The exterior of the coffeemaker, control panel area, and warming plate should only be cleaned with a soft, damp cloth.
Cleaning the Coffeemaker
The inside of the water reservoir, brew basket, and permanent gold-tone filter must be cleaned with a damp cloth.
Do not immerse the coffeemaker in water or any liquid, and do not use abrasive cleansers or scouring pads.
Operating the Control Panel
The control panel has buttons for setting the clock, timer, and auto-brewing.
The clock can be set to any hour and minute between 12:00 AM and 11:00 PM, and the auto-brewing feature can be programmed to start brewing at a specific time.
