Overview
The UC184x4/284×4/384xA family of control ICs is designed for off-line fixed-frequency, current-mode switching power supplies with a minimum of external components.
Key Features
These ICs feature a current-mode architecture, pulse-by-pulse current limiting, and inherent protection of the power supply output switch. They also include a bandgap reference, error amplifier, current sense comparator, high-current totem pole output stage, and an externally programmable oscillator.
Applications
The UC184x4/284×4/384xA family is suitable for economical off-line flyback or forward converters, DC-DC buck or boost converters, and low-cost DC motor control.
Package Options
The ICs are available in 8-pin and 14-pin packages, including plastic DIP, plastic SOIC, and ceramic DIP.
