Dryer Safety
Important safety messages and precautions to reduce the risk of fire, electric shock, or injury when using the dryer.
Installation: Must be performed by a qualified installer, following the manufacturer’s instructions and local codes.
Venting: Use a heavy metal vent, clean the lint screen before each load, and replace plastic or foil vent material with a 4″ diameter heavy, rigid vent material.
Operation: Read all instructions before using the dryer, do not repair or replace any part of the dryer unless specifically recommended, and do not use fabric softeners or products to eliminate static unless recommended by the manufacturer.
Maintenance: Clean the lint screen before or after each load, and remove lint and debris from the exhaust hood and vent system at least every 2 years.
