The Tacoma features a redesigned body, engineered from the ground up, with a streamlined body and high front bumper clearance.
The TNGA-F chassis combines high-strength steel with lightweight aluminum and laser welds, providing enhanced rigidity and less weight.
Performance
The available i-FORCE and i-FORCE MAX hybrid powertrains deliver prodigious power and torque, with the i-FORCE MAX producing up to 326 hp and 465 lb.-ft. of torque.
The i-FORCE gas engine provides up to 278 horsepower and up to 317 lb.-ft. of ultra-responsive torque.
An available 6-speed intelligent Manual Transmission (iMT) is also available.
Off-Road Capability
The Trailhunter package features an electronically locking rear differential, Stabilizer Disconnect Mechanism (SDM), and an ARB steel rear bumper with recovery hooks.
These features provide increased grip in low-traction conditions and allow for more suspension articulation.
