The 74F166 is a high-speed 8-bit shift register with fully synchronous serial-parallel data entry. It features high impedance NPN base inputs, synchronous parallel-to-serial applications, and a clock enable for “do nothing” mode.
It has an asynchronous master reset and can be expanded to 16 bits in 8-bit increments. The device operates in an industrial temperature range of -40°C to +85°C.
