2024 Hyundai Santa Fe (MXSA) TCU Software Update & Inspection for Transmission Noise or Damage (Recall 263)

Important Safety Recall

This recall affects certain 2024MY Santa Fe (MXSA) vehicles equipped with MXSA-8DCT produced from 04/23/2024 to 07/02/2024.

The Dual Clutch Transmission (DCT) could become damaged due to Transmission Control Unit (TCU) software logic, causing noise and unintended vehicle movement.

Service Procedure:

Inspect the transmission, update the TCU software, and replace the transmission if necessary.

Refer to the flowchart for the overall procedure, which includes a static test, creep test, and inspection for damage.
