Recommendations
Towing company employers should prohibit using tow trucks to raise vehicles for working underneath them without secondary supports such as safety stands.
Employers should develop and implement written safety and health programs, including tool inspection and employee training.
Employers should obtain an AAA Towing and Service Manual to maximize safety and minimize costs regarding vehicle towing.
