Special Coverage Adjustment

This special coverage adjustment addresses a condition where customers may experience increased brake pedal effort, hard brake pedal, and/or potentially increased stopping distance due to decreased vacuum/power brake assist.

The condition is more prevalent at low speed when softly applying the brakes and may be caused by failure to follow recommended oil change intervals.

Correction

Dealers are to replace the vacuum pump and vacuum pump belt.

Repairs will be made at no charge to the customer.

Customer Reimbursement

Customers who have already paid for repairs can submit reimbursement claims to their dealer or the Reimbursement Department by November 30, 2020.
