Never work on a hot exhaust system, as serious injury can result. Always wear eye protection when working under the vehicle.
Installation Recommendations
Use a hoist or hydraulic lift to facilitate the installation. Take all under-car safety precautions, and lift the vehicle using a hoist or hydraulic lift.
Before removing the original exhaust system, compare the parts you have received with the bill of materials provided to assure that you have all the necessary parts.
Original Exhaust System Removal
Loosen and remove front flange bolts, loosen factory clamp bolts, and slide the clamp rearward. Support the front pipe section with a stand, and carefully remove the rear muffler section from the muffler hangars.
Borla Performance Cat-BackTM Exhaust System Installation
Install the Front Pipe Assembly to the factory flange using original hardware bolts. Place the factory clamp over the Front Pipe Assembly, and insert the Front Muffler Assembly into the clamp.
Check the exhaust system for proper clearance under the vehicle and tip alignment. Tighten the AccusealTM clamp to 32-35 ft-lbs.
