Synchronous Programmable 4-Bit Counters

The HCCIHCF40160B-40163B series are monolithic integrated circuits, available in 16-lead dual in-line plastic or ceramic packages and plastic micropackages. These 4-bit synchronous programmable counters feature internal look-ahead for fast counting, carry output for cascading, and synchronous programming.

The counters have two count-enable inputs and a carry output (COUT). Counting is enabled when both PE and TE inputs are high. The TE input is fed forward to enable COUT, producing a positive output pulse with a duration approximately equal to the positive portion of the Q output.

Absolute Maximum Ratings

The devices have a maximum supply voltage of 20V for HCC types and 18V for HCF types. The maximum input voltage is -0.5 to VDD + 0.5V, and the maximum total power dissipation is 200mW per package.

Recommended Operating Conditions

The recommended supply voltage is 3 to 18V for HCC types and 3 to 15V for HCF types. The operating temperature range is -40°C to +125°C for HCC types and -40°C to +85°C for HCF types.
