California Emission Warranty
The California Air Resources Board explains the emission control system warranty for 2016 model vehicles.
FCA US LLC warrants the emission control system for specific periods of time, provided there has been no abuse, neglect, or improper maintenance.
Warranty Coverage
For 3 years or 50,000 miles: FCA US will repair or replace defective emission-related parts, including catalytic converters and powertrain control modules.
For 7 years or 70,000 miles: FCA US warrants specific parts, including the Wrangler Plastic Fuel Tank, to be free from defects.
For 8 years or 80,000 miles: FCA US covers the catalytic converter and powertrain control module.
For 15 years or 150,000 miles: FCA US provides extended warranty coverage for Partial Zero Emission Vehicles (PZEV) sold, registered, and operated in California.
Owner’s Responsibilities
Vehicle owners are responsible for performing required maintenance, retaining receipts, and presenting their vehicle to a dealer for warranty repairs.
