Trailer Towing Information
Before towing, ensure the vehicle has the proper optional equipment and consider purchasing a vehicle with a more powerful engine.
Check the vehicle’s Owner’s Manual for break-in and severe-duty maintenance schedules and ensure the vehicle has been driven at least 1,000 miles before towing.
Use safety chains when towing and ensure the trailer is equipped with lights that conform to all applicable government regulations.

Use the tow/haul mode to help control vehicle speed when going uphill or downhill.
Turn off the cruise control when towing on long, steep grades or in hilly terrain.
