Recommended Tools

Flat End Screwdriver, Transmission Jack, Ball Peen Hammer, Wheel Bearing Grease, Rubber Mallet, Torque Wrench, Safety Glasses, CV Joint Puller, Metric Ratchet & Socket Set, Metric Wrench Set, Seal Driver Kit, Needle Bearing Puller, API GLS SAE 90 Hypoid Gear Oil (Approximately 1.5 quarts)

Installation Steps

Step 1: Place the vehicle on Jack stands, remove the driver’s side wheel.

Step 2: Remove the transfer case drain plug and drain the oil.

Step 3: Separate the Front Speed Sensor from the steering knuckle.

Step 4: Separate the tie rod end from the steering knuckle using a tie rod end remover.

Step 5: Remove the front axle hub grease cap with a screwdriver and ball peen hammer.

Step 6: Remove the (2) bolts and separate the front lower ball joint attachment from the steering knuckle.

Step 7: Remove the CV Joint assembly with a CV Joint puller tool.

Step 8: Remove the stock needle bearing from the carrier using a needle bearing remover.

Step 9: Install the needle bearing eliminator into the carrier using a seal driver.
