microsemi-act-2-family-fpgas.pdf

Overview

The ACT 2 family is a second-generation field-programmable gate array (FPGA) with a two-module architecture, consisting of C-modules and S-modules. It offers high gate density, performance, and flexibility, while maintaining compatibility with previous design environments.

Key Features

Up to 8,000 gate array gates (20,000 PLD equivalent gates), replacing up to 200 TTL packages or 80 20-pin PAL packages.

Single-module sequence functions, wide-input combinatorial functions, and up to 232 programmable logic modules.

Supports 16-bit prescaled counters, loadable counters, and accumulators, with a maximum of 998 flip-flops.

Available in various packages, including CPGA, PLCC, PQFP, VQFP, and TQFP.

Features nonvolatile, user-programmable logic, with two in-circuit diagnostic probe pins and support for speed analysis up to 50 MHz.
