Overview
The U641B is a bi-polar integrated circuit designed for windshield wiper applications in the automotive market.
Key Features
It includes wipe, wash, and internal modes, with wipe/wash mode having priority over interval mode.
Interval pause and after-wiping time can be set to fixed values using resistors or adjusted continuously using a potentiometer.
The IC features a relay driver with Z-diode interference protection and is load-dump protected according to VDE 0839 or ISO/ITR 7637/1.
Functional Description
The U641B provides accurate timing function control for intermittent and wipe/wash operations, with the ability to interrupt interval functions when the wipe/wash switch is activated.
The IC includes a park switch input comparator, load-dump comparator, and logic circuitry to control the relay output.
