Warranty Information
This manual provides information on the warranty administration for the 2017-2022 Chevrolet Bolt EV and Bolt EUV High Voltage Battery Safety Recall Replacement Parts.
Warranty Terms
The warranty includes an 8-year/100,000-mile (160,000 km) GM Service Replacement Parts Limited Warranty for high voltage batteries and battery components replaced under the recall.
The warranty term begins on the date and mileage at the time of battery replacement and runs concurrent with any remaining term of the 8/100 (160,000 km) New Vehicle Limited Warranty for Electric Vehicle components.
Parts Ordering and Warranty Claim Submission
Lithium Ion batteries must be obtained through GM authorized Battery Service Center (BSC) and pre-approved through the GM Technical Assistance Center (TAC).
Warranty claims must be submitted as ZREG Transaction Type, and dealers must inform the BSC if the vehicle is beyond the New Vehicle EV Component Limited Warranty but within the 8/100 (160,000 km) Service Replacement Parts Limited Warranty period.
