KYCON D-Subminiature Connectors are designed for high-density applications, offering a range of features and options for reliable data communication.
Mechanical Characteristics
These connectors boast precision-machined contacts with a minimum of 10 lbs contact retention force and 500 insertion cycles. They also feature dielectric withstanding voltage of 1000 V AC min and insulation resistance of 5000 megohms min.
Electrical Characteristics
The connectors have a contact current rating of 7.6 amps for precision-machined contacts and 5.0 amps for precision-formed contacts. Contact resistance is 5 milliohms max for precision-machined contacts and 8 milliohms max for precision-formed contacts.
Features and Options
The connectors meet EIA, RS232C, and RS449 standards and offer various plating options, including gold flash over nickel. They also feature indentations (dimples) for exceptional grounding and mating retention.
Mounting options include right-angle (PC mount) termination with a .350 footprint, and various grounding strap and bracket configurations.
