Introduction
Pre-Delivery Service (PDS) is a critical step in satisfying new car customers. It involves careful inspection, proper operation of electrical accessories, interior cleanliness, and proper function of mechanical systems.
Objective
The objective of PDS is to ensure customer retention and proper maintenance of vehicles. Dealers are required to install a service reminder sticker before delivery to remind customers to return for service.
Procedures
The PDS procedures include DIC cut fuse installation, memorize steering angle neutral point, steering sensor zero point calibration, and other steps to ensure the vehicle is properly prepared for delivery.
Important: Warranty policy requires that dealers maintain a completed Check Sheet in the customer’s file. Failure to produce a completed form may result in debit of PDS payment amount.
