Operating the Power Liftgate
The power liftgate can be operated using the Intelligent Key, instrument panel switch, or liftgate request switch.
Power Open: The liftgate automatically opens in approximately 5.8 seconds. A chime sounds to indicate the power open sequence has started.
Power Close: The liftgate automatically closes in approximately 10 seconds. A chime sounds to indicate the power close sequence has started.
Auto Reverse: If an obstacle is detected during power open or close, the liftgate will reverse direction and return to the full open or close position.
Manual Mode: The liftgate can be operated manually if power operation is not available.
Important Safety Precautions
Make sure all passengers have their hands, etc. inside the vehicle before closing the liftgate.
Do not leave children unattended inside the vehicle.
A pinch strip is mounted on each side of the liftgate. If an obstacle is detected by a pinch strip during power close, the liftgate will reverse direction and return to the full open position.
