New Turbo Engines and Enhanced Chassis
The 2017 Porsche 718 Boxster features new turbocharged flat-four cylinder engines, increasing power and performance. The 718 Boxster generates 300 horsepower, while the 718 Boxster S produces 350 horsepower.
Design and Features
The new model line has a sharper design, with a wider and more muscular appearance. The interior features a new dash panel, Bi-Xenon headlights, and Park Assist front and rear with a reversing camera.
The 718 Boxster comes standard with a six-speed manual transmission, with the Porsche Doppelkupplungsgetriebe (PDK) available as an option.
Performance and Handling
The 718 Boxster has a top track speed of 170 miles per hour, while the 718 Boxster S can reach 177 miles per hour. The Sport Chrono Package is available, including a steering wheel-mounted Mode switch and a Sport Response Button.
The new Porsche Communication Management (PCM) unit is standard, featuring a touchscreen, SiriusXM, HD radio, and Universal audio interface.
