hiic-series-photon-coupled-isolator.pdf

Overview

The HIIC series are optically coupled isolators consisting of an infrared light emitting diode and a light activated silicon controlled rectifier (SCR) in a standard 6-pin dual in-line plastic package.

Key Features

High isolation voltage (5.3 kV, 7.5 kV), high surge anode current, and high blocking voltage (200 V, 400 V).

Low turn-on current (5 mA typical) and high power dissipation (100 mW).

Applications include TTL compatible, solid-state relay, logic indicator lamp driver, and 400 V symmetrical transistor coupler.

Electrical Characteristics

Forward voltage, reverse voltage, on-state voltage, off-state current, and coupled input current to trigger are specified.

Isolation voltage, isolation resistance, and input-output capacitance are also defined.
