Internal Battery Failure Symptoms

The CDL/Alarm Control Module may emit a four bleep error code when the alarm system is armed, indicating internal battery failure.

Test Procedure

A test procedure is outlined to check the condition of the Nickel-Cadmium batteries, involving the removal of the battery earth lead and observing the siren tone.

Replacement Procedure

Refer to the Workshop Manual TSDSOOO for safety procedures and detailed steps for replacing the internal batteries, including removing the Alarm Control Module, printed circuit boards, and soldering the new battery in place.

Battery Specification: The module contains two Nickel-Cadmium batteries, one 6 Volt 280 mAh and one 4.8 Volt 280 mAh, manufactured by Varta Battery or Yuasa Battery.
