Warranty Extension Details
Nissan is extending the warranty coverage on Continuously Variable Transmissions (CVTs) for certain models, including the 2014-2018 Rogue and 2015-2018 Pathfinder, from 60 months/60,000 miles to 84 months/84,000 miles.
The warranty extension includes the CVT assembly and internal components, gaskets, seals, CVT control valve body, torque converter, cooler kit (if applicable), and reprogramming of the Transmission Control Module (TCM).
Dealer Responsibilities
Dealers are required to check the warranty status on each vehicle entering the service department and refer to applicable Technical Service Bulletins (TSBs) and/or Electronic Service Manual (ESM) for diagnosis and repair procedures.
Dealers must also complete a CVT Warranty Extension and Customer Care e-learning addendum course available on Nissan’s Virtual Academy.
