Introduction
The TH8320U and TH8321U Touch Screen Programmable Thermostats are designed to provide electronic control of 24 Vac heating and cooling systems or 750 mV heating systems.
Important Installation Notes
Install the thermostat in an area with good air circulation, avoiding drafts, dead spots, and extreme temperatures.
Securely tighten each screw and plug any holes to prevent drafts from affecting the thermostat.
Disconnect power before wiring to avoid electrical shock or equipment damage.
Wiring and Installation
Select the appropriate terminal identifications for the system type and loosen the screws for the selected system.
Insert wires into the terminal block under the loosened screw, using 18 gauge thermostat wire.
Typical hookups for various system types, including heat-only, conventional single-stage heat and cool, and heat pump systems, are illustrated in the manual.
