Safety Recall Notice
This notice is sent to inform you of a safety defect in your 2001-2005 Chrysler PT Cruiser or PT Cruiser Convertible.
Problem Description
The power steering pressure hose may contact the transaxle differential cover, causing the hose to rub through and leak power steering fluid, which can result in an underhood fire.
Repair Information
Your dealer will inspect and reposition the power steering hose, and replace any damaged hoses, free of charge.
The inspection and repositioning will take about 1/2 hour to complete, and hose replacement will require an additional hour.
