Introduction

The ROSA” Recon System is a stereotaxic instrumentation system indicated for various joint replacement surgeries, including total knee arthroplasty (TKA), partial knee arthroplasty (PKA), total hip arthroplasty (THA), total shoulder arthroplasty (TSA), and reverse shoulder arthroplasty (RTSA).

Coding and Reimbursement

The system is considered incidental to the primary procedure and is not separately identified or reported via CPT/HCPCS coding mechanisms. Providers should contact payers directly to clarify coverage policies and prior authorization requirements.

Pre-operative scans, such as MRI or X-ray, may be necessary for using the ROSA Recon System, and coverage for these scans should be evaluated separately.
