The Accu-Chek Guide Me Blood Glucose Monitoring System is intended for single-patient use by people with diabetes at home to monitor glucose control.
Warning: The system is not for use in diagnosis or screening of diabetes mellitus, nor for neonatal use.
Important: The system includes the Accu-Chek Guide Me meter, test strips, control solutions, and the Accu-Chek Softclix lancing device.
Limitations
The system is not intended for use at high hematocrit levels or low hematocrit levels.
Abnormally high concentrations of ascorbic acid (vitamin C) may cause inaccurate results.
The system has not been tested at altitudes higher than 10,150 feet.
Cleaning and Disinfecting
The meter and lancing device should never be used by more than one person due to the risk of infection from bloodborne pathogens.
Cleaning and disinfecting the meter and lancing device destroys most, but not necessarily all, bloodborne pathogens.
