Technical Service Bulletin: Bentayga 1.2 1.4KHz Rear Brake Squeal (2017-2020)

Issue Identification

A squealing noise from the rear of the vehicle at low speed while braking, caused by a vibration of 1.2 to 1.4 KHZ produced by the friction between the rear brake pad and disc.

Solution

Fit shim set 36A 698 219 to the rear brake pads, ensuring proper installation and application of Vary Bond Regular Grade Grease (GO52 560 A2) to reduce noise.

Follow the ‘Brake noise identification’ TPI 2052785 and ‘Brake Bedding Procedure’ TPI 2039982 for proper diagnosis and repair.
