System Overview

The Avitus Bone Harvester is a medical device intended for harvesting cancellous bone and marrow, as well as debriding and capturing infected, necrotic, or diseased cancellous bone.

Indications for Use

The device is used in primary and revision orthopaedic, foot and ankle, trauma, and upper extremity procedures requiring bone graft, as well as for debridement and capture of infected, necrotic, or diseased cancellous bone.

Features

The Avitus Bone Harvester is available in two diameters (6 mm and 8 mm) and features a Pilot Hole Creator, Cutting Direction Indicator, Filter Insert for bone marrow separation, and a Handle with Depth Marks.

The device is designed for minimally invasive procedures and is recommended to be used with fluoroscopy to avoid perforating diseased cortical bone.
