Important Notice

This repair bulletin is intended for trained professionals only and addresses a possible customer concern regarding the operation of Tesla vehicles.

Condition

The LH and RH frame rail bolts on some Model S and Model X vehicles may not have been tightened to specification, resulting in a creak or rattle noise from the front of the vehicle while turning the steering wheel at low speeds.

Correction

Inspect the vehicle for symptoms and tighten the bolts that attach the inner and outer threaded inserts of the front frame rails to specification if necessary.

Important: Refer to the Service Manual procedure 18201312 for removing and installing the cooling fan module.
