The NISSAN Advanced Air Bag System is designed to meet certification requirements under U.S. regulations and is also permitted in Canada.
The system is equipped with dual-stage supplemental front airbags with seat belt and occupant-classification sensors.
Front Passenger Air Bag Status Light
The front passenger air bag status light indicates whether the passenger air bag is ON or OFF, depending on the weight applied to the front passenger seat.
The light operates as follows: ON (illuminated) indicates the air bag is inhibited, and OFF (dark) indicates the air bag is activated.
Proper Use of Seats, Seat Belts, and Child Restraints
Proper use of seats, seat belts, and child restraints is necessary for most effective protection.
Failure to follow all instructions in this manual concerning the use of seats, seat belts, and child restraints can increase the risk or severity of injury in an accident.
