These varistors are suitable for environments that adhere to military or similar stringent standards, particularly MIL-STD-19500 and MIL-STD-202. The varistors are not only optimized for performance but also feature an inherent resistance to radiation, giving them an advantage over Silicon Diode suppressors.
Varistor Categories
The varistors are classified into three main categories:
Qualified Products List (QPL) MIL-PRF-83530: This category consists of 4 currently available items that meet military performance specifications.
Littelfuse High Reliability Series TX Equivalents: Comprising 29 items, this series offers equivalents to existing TX series varistors that have been approved by defense agencies.
Custom Types: Varistors in this category are processed according to customer-specific requirements (SCD) or to a Standard Military Flow to ensure that each product is tailored to specific operational needs.
Agency Approvals
The varistors have been designed to meet the standards of several approvals and quality management systems, ensuring their reliability in high-stakes applications.
