Overview

The G2R PCB Power Relay is a highly versatile and commonly used relay designed for general purpose applications in power circuits. With options for single-pole with a 10 A rating and double-pole with a 5 A rating, this series is focused on safety, shown by a dielectric strength of 5,000 V between its coil and contacts and a surge resistance of 10,000 V. To accommodate various system requirements, both AC and DC operational coils are available, and products are compliant with RoHS environmental directives.

Model Number Legend

Understanding the G2R series begins with decoding the model number. Each model’s designation indicates its relay function, contact type, number of poles, enclosure rating, contact form, terminal shape, and classification. The relay function can be a standard single-side stable, double-winding latching, or none, and the contact type can be single or bifurcated. With options of 1-pole or 2-pole and different enclosure ratings such as flux protection or fully sealed, customization is further increased. Contact form selections are SPST-NO or SPDT for 1-pole, and DPST-NO or DPDT for 2-pole configurations.

Classification and Terminal Shape

The classification ranges from standard to high-capacity and high-sensitivity, with specific models designed for full-wave rectification or ultrasonic cleaning compatibility. Terminal shape options include PCB terminals and a quick-connect upper bracket mounting #187.

Model Configuration

The G2R series offers a diverse range of configurations to adapt to different applications. The G2R-IA and G2R-1 models represent 1-pole configurations with AC and DC operational coils, respectively, and are available with flux protection or fully sealed enclosures. For 2-pole setups, the G2R-ZA and G2R-2 models are offered.

Bifurcated contact and high-capacity options, like the G2R-1AZ and G2R-1-E models, are also available with either AC or DC coils and packed 100 units per tray. High-sensitivity models, identified by an “H” in the model number (e.g., G2R-1A-H), and double-winding latching models, such as the G2R-2A-H, are supplied for specific needs with DC coils and flux protection.

For easier board-level installation, the G2R series includes models with PCB terminals with options like the G2R-1A4 (AC) and G2R-14 (DC) configurations, as well as quick-connect variants like the G2R-1A-T (AC) and G2R-1-T (DC), which are unsealed for standard use. The minimum packing unit for most models in the series is 100 pieces per tray, ensuring an efficient supply quantity for manufacturing and maintenance needs.
