Overview

The Telegartner UMJ45 8 Up Cat.6e Outlet is a versatile and ergonomic flush mounting voice and data outlet, presented in an alpine white color. Designed for both 1-way (8) and 2-way (8/8, 2×8(4)) configurations, this unshielded outlet is suitable for stable and compact installations. Its construction allows secure hold during setup and offers overbend protection for RJ11/12 and RJ45 connectors.

Technical and Mechanical Specifications

The unit features an insertion force of less than 20 N and supports a significant lifespan with 2,750 mating cycles. It is constructed using high-quality materials including PA, PBT ABS, and FR4 for the housing, insulators, and PCB respectively. The contact springs are made of CuSn spring steel with a gold and nickel finish, while the IDC termination uses tin-plated CuZn. The LSA Plus terminals are compatible with solid copper conductor diameters ranging from 0.40 to 0.65 mm and wire diameters from 0.7 to 1.6 mm.

Electrical Characteristics

The outlet offers a contact resistance of less than 20 mΩ and an impressive insulation resistance of 2,500 MΩ. It is capable of withstanding voltage up to 2,100 V DC between contacts and between contact and shield while maintaining a current carrying capacity of 1 A at 50°C. The product supports both PoE+ compatible with IEEE 802.3at for Cat.6A and standard PoE according to IEEE 802.3af for Cat.5e.

This outlet provides exceptional installation flexibility, accommodating flush and surface mounting without the need for additional kits. It allows for simple wire presorting which guarantees high transmission performance, and its strain relief can accommodate cables from eight different directions in 45° increments for flush mounting, and from four directions in 90° increments for surface mounting. This unit can be installed both horizontally and vertically and is designed with a low installation depth of 29 mm, making it suitable for floor tank installation as well.
