Recall Notice

This bulletin is a recall notice for unintended ignition key rotation in certain Cadillac models.

Affected Vehicles

The affected vehicles are 2003-2010 Cadillac CTS, 2011 Cadillac CTS (VIN D and Built Prior to December 13, 2010), and 2004-2006 Cadillac SRX.

Problem Description

The key ring may unintentionally move the key away from the “run position” if the key ring is carrying added weight and the vehicle goes off road or experiences some other jarring event, affecting engine power, power steering, and power braking, and increasing the risk of a crash.

Correction

Dealers are to install two 16mm outer diameter key rings and an insert in the key slot or a cover over the key head on all ignition keys.
